Golden Sound

Peter Golikov aka Peter G is a keyboardist/producer hailing from Brisbane Australia. He began his musical journey in 1986, studying classical piano for 10 years and moving to hand percussion and drums in 1995. During the last 15 years, he has performed/collaborated with countless artists/producers from Australia and abroad, including supports for Moloko, Derrick Carter, Reggie Watts, Crazy P, Norman J and a career highlight, performing @ Good Vibrations on the same stage, as the late James Brown, in 2006. He also had the opportunity to perform drums/percussion with Nouvelle Vague on their recent Australian tour in late 08. After 2 Vinyl record releases through “Gallery”, in 2003, he traveled to America where he had the opportunity to perform in New York/Chicago and L.A, this trip also included several weeks recording and performing in Nepal/ Katmandu. During his career he has released 2 full length records/ 3 Ep's / 3 film clips and performed at countless Australian Festivals, including Good Vibrations, Falls Festival, Woodford Folk Festival, Sydney Festival & Playground Weekender, over the last 8 years with his previous band PTY LTD. His solo keyboard work, which he is now focusing on, has appeared on countless Australian releases and compilations. His own compositions have had previous releases JJJ's Groove Train CD's, Hemisphere, The H Foundation's Environments cd, Beach Suite and his latest solo offering “Bathing in Goodness”, released independently in late 08, has been receiving rave reviews for it’s song writing charm and warm/vintage qualities. It is now available online, it has also recently been made available on export to Japan and other o/s territories through Stomp.

 

 

Kafka RemixedThis is it, we finally got some of our favorite producers to remix a few tracks from our beloved Kafka album. Released as a Limited Edition 12 inch vinyl  available in February 2010, or you can download it and check it out now. Featuring on the A side Golden Sound reworking the track Afro innay & doing a great afro house dance floor cracker full of Kafka's signature horns. Then comes  Red Bantoo treating  Themes of Delvechio with their funk- clavinet chilled out beats. On the B side, Chikashi Nishiwaki from Japan reworking Illumination on a Brazil styled acid jazz tip and Two Dee remixing the same track in a dub disco manner!
